I'll locate my line, place it through, I'll just do a simple section. ![]() The way Inventor works now is a little different than it was in the years past, where we can grab our view, drag the scale, proximate the location and immediately start to place projected views. This will be third angle projection, and I'll create a base view. I'll begin with my part file on screen and create a drawing. ![]() And of course we'll edit a hole table as well. We'll also modify a style in the drawing. In this lesson, we'll create a section view and make modifications to it. It is also possible to import 2D AutoCAD drawings into Inventor for you to base your 3D models on. The nice thing about Autodesk Inventor, is that it creates DWG files.Įffectively, it is possible to have AutoCAD 2D drawings and Inventor 3D model views combined on one sheet. Most of you will be using AutoCAD already, and you may have built up quite a lot of legacy drawings that you want to re-use. ![]() One of the reasons that I recommend Autodesk Inventor to drafters in the UK Building and construction industry, is that it plays pretty nicely with AutoCAD.
